Clients of the Toronto Drug Treatment Court (TDTC) program were treated to a festive meal on December 21th at the annual client holiday feast. This year, clients and staff enjoyed a turkey dinner with all the fixings, and a special dish of jerk chicken served up on the side!

About 50 people attended, including some past and recent graduates who now volunteer with the program. “Our clients look forward to this dinner every year, and the staff enjoy serving lunch and preparing the gift bags. Everyone gets involved and helps out,” said Tanya Connors, Court Liaison, TDTC.
Some of the program’s community partners were able to attend this year’s feast, including staff from the John Howard Society, Ontario Works, and The Salvation Army.
“This year we have many people to thank,” says TDTC Peer Support Worker Paulette Walker. “Aramark has once again allowed us the use of their facilities, the CAMH Foundation helped us fill our gift bags, and the Salvation Army, Jacquelyn Waller-Vinlar and Nancy Leuna of the Knowledge and Innovation Unit helped us supply gifts for our clients’ children!”
